Not the correct text for little, concrete listeners!:
Let me start by saying this is a beautiful book. The cut paper art is delightful, fascinating and complex. The words are also beautiful and express a beautiful thought- that the world is special place. The problem is that the poem is WAY too abstract for pre-k and probably even Kindergarten children. So, even though one might be interested in this book because of the art, the story will not one that a majority of young listeners will ask for again and again (the true mark of acceptance from a 4 year old.)... more info
