Good book for beginners on iwork 08, has just enough information to get you started on all most any project.

I bought it for the cover and i m glad i did. Inside there is nothing too pertinent. You can simpy download the official manual from mac, i guess that it would be enough. I love spending time polishing my presentations on keynote and i realized that my basic skills were well above the chapter from this book! However it was designed from a mac and by a mac user, hence the quality is above what you would expect from an "office-like" book. A nice buy for someone who would like to add it to his... more info
Apple Training Series - iWork '08:
I selected this book to gain "hands-on" training with iWork '08 and some of the related iLife '08 applications installed on my 17" MacBook Pro notebook. With many years of Microsoft(MS) Windows and Microsoft Office (Windows/Mac) suite experience I was curious to discover how well the iWork '08 suite could integrate multimedia programs. iWork 08 Apple Manual lacking:
Although simple & easy to use, this manual lacks detail. In general it is not close to the books in David Pogue's "The Missing Manual" series. Only he doesn't have one for iWork 08 that I could find. I will not purchase another Apple Training Series book.
