I am still working my way through this book, but so far have found it a fount of knowledge. Easy to read, - and you can go online to Scott Kelby's site, D/L the same images, and work at your pace with the same photos.The book consists of 14 chapters - each with a load of lessons, and each lesson has a step-by-step instruction (with pictures to back up that step.) I really like this guide, there are so many little details that are unfolded in this book. I like Scott's goofy humor it's right up my alley. The layout is nice if you follow his instructions to start at the beginning and read it through, if you skip around you may lose some details.
Yes, you can use it as a reference but Scott has a direction he wants you to use. I would highly recommend this if your new to Lightroom 2, it will save you time and help you gain some great understanding.more info
