Comprehensive, lots more interventions than earlier publications.:
This resource text has been invaluable during my clinical experience as a student nurse. Include pediatric and geriatric interventions and many more interventions than earlier publications. Great!
A must-have reference for nursing clinicals!:
I already had the "larger" Ackley's when we were told this was a required book. I was skeptical that it would be more helpful than the large version, but it is so quick and handy, not to mention that you can tote it in a lab coat pocket or your purse. It's like "Cliff's Notes" to nursing diagnoses and care plans. I highly recommend it.
Good but could be better:
Ok, so I have used this book to create numerous care plans and while it has a plethera of nursing diagnosises and interventions it doesn't give scientific rationales which is my only con for this book. I have since purchased another care plan book which I use in addition to this book. The one EXCELLENT thing about this book it that you can easily look up info. for a particular condition which makes creating care plans a simpler process.
