Simple, yet Powerful:
I have to say that this is not the book for someone wanting to run an administrative database for a 50k-employee company, but it IS a great book to freshen up on Access 2007. It comes with practice files to work on (if you are working cover-to-cover) and it is perfectly feasible to just go to the index and find the specific information you need. Good book :)
Good for an overview, but you'll probably need more:
If this is your first time using Access, this book is very helpful. It gives a good (and very basic) overview of the different features and fundamental abilities that Access 2007 offers, without being overwhelming. It is written to the beginner. It does also hit on the upgrades that the 2007 edition offers to the 2003 program. This book does a good job covering Microsoft Access 2007. Moreover, the book serves as a good transition guide for users moving from earlier versions of Microsoft Access to Microsoft Access 2007.
