Dragon Quest games are huge. The world is vast, filled with tons of side areas to go through and secrets. Finding all that stuff on your own can be tricky. Luckily, there's this helpful little guide that can help you along just about every step of the way. The guide begins with details on all the characters. A Walkthrough and a Strategy Guide are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS! - A Strategy Guide does just what it says; it's there to guide you into a helpful strategy plan, in order to win the game.
- A Walkthrough is a way of playing the game WITHOUT thinking it through. Having someone ELSE do the thinking for you, then you just follow behind it. (Walkthroughs can be found free on the internet) So, let's stop confusing the two, mkay.
Gorgeous as well as useful:
Whether you are an old school DQIV player like I am, or a neophyte getting your feet wet with this new DQIV port, I would seriously recommend picking up this guide while it is still available. Not only is it simply GORGEOUS, filled with detailed, full color illustrations of the characters, towns, weapons, armor, etc, it is an incredibly useful tool for getting the most out of your DQIV experience. Useless Strategy Guide:
Generally speaking, a video game strategy guide is supposed to explain complicated aspects of the game, give a walkthrough, and organize the item list to help you find all the obscure and powerful items in the game. This guide only gives a walkthrough. There is no strategy or explanation of any side quest. The item list does not tell you where to acquire the items, only that they exist. This is a useless, pretty guide. Save your money.
