C++ Programming: From Problem Analysis to Program Design, Third Edition is the ground-breaking, definitive text for the CS1 course. Best-selling author D.S. Malik employs a student-focused approach, using complete programming examples to teach introductory programming concepts. This third edition has been enhanced to further demonstrate the use of OOD methodology, to introduce sorting algorithms (bubble sort and insertion sort), and to present additional material on abstract classes. In addition, the exercise sets at the end of each chapter have been expanded, and now contain several calculus and engineering-related exercises. Finally, all programs have been written, compiled, and quality-assurance tested with Microsoft Visual C++ .NET, available as an optional compiler with this text.

In Great Condition:
The book was exactly as described. Is in great condition and saved me a bunch of money instead of buying it through my campus bookstore. Delivery was fast. Will order from them again.
gets point across but takes forever to present simple concepts:
This is a good C++ book, it gets the point across and has many great examples. The main problem with it is that it takes forever to explain a concept that could have easily presented in less than a fraction of the space. I used it for a C++ class because it was required for the course but I have other, better books in C++ programming.
C++:
this was sold at a great price, due to the fact there is a more recent edition, but it worked just fine. great way to save like 80 to 100
so-so:
this isn't worth the price. it's comprehensive, but often belaboredly so. there are concepts that are introduced too early in the book and might not be of immediate use to the beginner. this book could be more concise, physically lighter, and cheaper.
