Technically inaccurate... but I guess that's besides the point:
To begin, as a teacher, this is most certainly NOT what we do after school. But hey, it looks more fun than grading papers and cleaning. Bowen makes a hilarious and richly illustrated rhyme fantasizing the party after school hours, from pigging out on left-over pizza to playing in the science lab. My class loved it, even as some were wondering and some were scoffing at the fiction. Whatever you believe, it's one exciting book.

...That's what wide-eyed youngsters will say after reading this hilarious book about the after-school lives of their naughty teachers. Tsk tsk! Roller skates! Food fights! Who knew teachers had so much energy after 3pm? Bowen's rhyming text clips along while Gott's bright, busy illustrations perfectly capture the mayhem. For everyone who ever thought their teachers lived at school, this will be a fun, imaginative romp.
