The Dreamcast controller offers an analog stick, a D-pad, a Start button, four gaming buttons (labeled A, B, X, and Y), and two analog index finger triggers on the underside. It also contains two slots which fit memory cards or the rumble pack; the uppermost one had a window through which the VMU's display can be seen.

Comfortable controller:
The Dreamcast is a nicely done controller and I consider it one of the greatest ones made.The controller is more comfortable than a lot of other controls on the market.I like it better than the Playstation controller when it comes to fighting games,but an arcade-style joystick is recommend for fighting games like Street Fighter Alpha 3.I bought one of my controls for $3.99 and all I had to do was wipe off the sticky residue with rubbing alcohol and now it works like new. This is not a game, put a controller for a gaming system. Great system that died early but still good fun.
