Human beings are natural seekers. We want answers and meaning, and we expect to find both in "big" things. Big possessions, big organizations, big beliefs. Inevitably, we find that big, external things become a heavy weight on the soul, driving us further from a truth that can only come from within.
In The Zen of Small Things, Spiritual teacher Stephanie JT Russell elegantly explores Zen practice in the context of everyday life. She suggests that being and understanding are readily available through the small, humble things that surround us. "This little book is an invitation to look closer," Russell writes in the introduction. "To quiet down and find yourself reflected in the details of what is there, all around you. To savor one simple thing that might touch your day with grace, calm, and joy."
Lavish photography by the author is thoughtfully paired with her words in this graceful and beautiful keepsake. Spiritual seekers and lovers of beauty and wisdom will cherish this book.

Peace and Meaning:
Great things come in small packages. This small book has been read and reread delving into the meaning of the words making up the sentences on unnumbered pages. At times the mental and religious feelings are very deeply felt in your own experiences and how to handle situations.
Very nice:
This is a very nice book and pretty suitable for children from the age of 0-6. Especially the drawings are just lovable.
This book deserves the buzz it's getting!:
What a recognizable situation! You think you're the cutest thing on the block and then your little sister steals the show. It is a great book about sibling rivalry that kids relate to. Lynn Hazen's witty writing and humorous puns make this book funny and charming. Buzz shows his true character when he puts aside his pride and envy and risks all to save his little sister.

4 1/2* Here's the Buzz About a New Writer:
Lynn Hazen, a preschool director and recent graduate of Vermont College's prestigious MFA program for writing children and young adults books, is one of the cleverest phrase-turners in the bizzy field of picture books. Here she explores the rivalry between an insect (who's simply the bee's knees) and his honey of a newborn sister, who quickly and inadvertently wins the heart of the hive. Listen to Hazen's economical, humorous development of character and plot in the opening: "Buzz Bumble was a medium... more info
