This is the best portable heater I've ever owned - and that says a lot when you are 66 years old. I've had it over a month now and it runs very quietly for one with a fan (hardly noticable hum). Puts out lots of heat quickly. It's been down as low as 22 degrees the last few nights and it has kept my 30 foot camper trailer (which I use often) very comfortable. It is much cheaper to heat with this than propane - and certainly more convenient. You can pick this heater up while it is on high with your bare... more info
I'm finally warm!:
So after two longs months of me turning on the heat and then my roommates turning off the heat i finally decided i needed a space heater (bad circulation of heat in our apartment). This space heater was not only very affordable but its small and very modern looking. It warmed up my room in about five minutes. Apart from the noise (kinda like a fan) its perfect!
Finally I can be warm during the long Chicago winter!

This is a great heater and a low price... it pumps out some serious heat and its less than $20, awesome!
Does as advertised, but the reviews are a little too enthusiastic:
For twenty bucks, it's a terrific heater. Sitting four feet away from it in a room at low-to-mid-60's, though, I can't feel it at all, and have barely noticed a difference in the overall room temperature. Sitting closer to it, of course, I stay warm on one side, but the other stays cold. I'll be buying a different heater, and I'll keep the Lasko as back-up.
