Customer Review: This is a great reference guide for many java techniques. That being said, you should have some knowledge of either java or another programming language before picking this book up. DO NOT buy this book if you are looking to learn java from scratch with no prior programming experience. This book... more info
Customer Review: Like many reviewers I find the the Core Java series to be very valuable. However, be forewarned that the kindle edition is not a good representation of the book. The figures are completely useless either because they have not taken the time to convert them properly or because the kindle technology... more info
Customer Review: I read this book years ago (I guess that was the first edition). I am ordering a replacement copy today, even though I am no longer an active programmer, because it is so good. It is one of those rare textbooks that you can actually read from cover to cover, like a novel.
Customer Review: I really love this book, it has been useful for me at work.
It helps you covering the gaps on Java basics and gives you good real world advises.

Customer Review: I bought this book in Year 11 (2000), after reading reviews of it. I was a beginner to programming - not only did this book introduce me to programming, it goes into VB6 in detail. Customer Review: If you have any in depth programming experience whatsoever, this book is worthless. It ruminates over all of Java's abilities and could be a good reference. If you understand programming constructs and algorithms, this is not the book to get up and running quickly. It is way too fundamental. I was... more info

The Doctor meets his foe who gloats over his victory forcing him to backtrack through time leading to their meetings. (wibbly wobbly timey wimey). Thus the doctor finds him self in... more info
Customer Review: The successful proof of Fermat's Last Theorem by Andrew Wiles was probably the most widely publicized mathematical result of the 20th century. And once again, among their numerous other applications, elliptic curves are employed in the proof. The book is a compilation of articles written by... more info
