Customer Review: The story begins with a famous line from a famous poem that leads to the fact that one little adorable mouse was indeed stirring, exploring via riddles all the colorful charms of Christmas time. The illustrations are lovely and the story is charming.
Customer Review: At first, I thought, how lame--a book with little ducks going in the water and that's it. There's really no plot here. But, my son kept wanting to read it during bath time. So, each time a duck goes in the water in the book, we make big splashes in the tub. This makes my son laugh and laugh. With a... more info
Little Quack from Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing Price: $11.67
Customer Review: This publication of "Little Quack" is nice with the addition of a dial that allows the kids to turn the dial as ducks enter the pond overcoming their fear, and responding to the encouragement of their mother. The story does not differ.
Mouse's First Snow from Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing Price: $11.05
Customer Review: My daughter has Mouses' First Christmas and likes it, so we thought we would get this book. She enjoys reading it more than the other one. It is about a mouse and his poppa playing in the snow. They make a snow mouse, a snow house, mouse angels and so on. It is a cute winter theme book to read with... more info
Customer Review: We got this at the library and my 3-year-old likes it a lot! Enough text for her without being overwhelming, and the illustrations are wonderful. I like the size of it, and it has been a relaxing read before bedtime. It does help settle my little one down for the night. :)
Customer Review: Mistakenly overlooked by the NY Times Best Illustrated Children's Books 2007 List, 'The Apple Pie That Papa Baked' is a simple, rhythmic, and endearing book. The pages are stuffed as full of love as Papa's pie is with apples. The bucolic illustrations gently entrench the reader in the hills of a... more info
Customer Review: I got this for my 2-year-old after she fell in love with the first Little Quack book, and she adores this one too. The Little Quack books are really well-written--little children can easily understand the story, but the language isn't "dumbed down" at all. The illustrations are also really... more info
Customer Review: Please don't hate me for this, I swear I'm really not a bad person who secretly hates fuzzy little bears and loving bear mommas. It's just that this book left me kind of cold, and it's not the effect of the snow. The story is nice, some of the phrases are downright lyrical. However, the total look... more info
