1.Into the WildInto the Wild
from Villard
Price: $15.64

Customer Review:
An intriguing and thought provoking read. This book is more than just a biography or epilogue on the life of Chris McCandless. The author does a great job of tracing the last 2 years of McCandless' life while also setting other examples of man vs. wild at counterpoint.

I love the idea behind putting this book together. It's neat to look through this book and see the places that I have already visited. 3.[no image]Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
from William Morrow & Company

Customer Review:
For those who are unfamiliar with philosophy, this is a very accesible book with some nice insights.
It reads like a train (although you might want to pause once in a while to think about some paragraphs).
It is a bit outdated, and I have some personal remarks concerning a few topics.

4.The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2009 (Unofficial Guides)The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2009 (Unofficial Guides)
from Wiley
Price: $13.59

Customer Review:
This year's book didn't have as many mistakes as last year's, but it's still very negative. Does the author even like Walt Disney World? Also, I couldn't disagree more about his opinion to avoid the Magic Kingdom's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I've gone several times and usually it's really... more info

5.[no image]Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream

Customer Review:
How can a book be hilarious and drab at the same time? Well, imagine this situation: you've arrived at a huge party with your friends. You're really pumped, you're telling jokes, and everyone is laughing, and your friends are enjoying your company, and everyone is having a good time. But then, a few... more info

from Simon & Schuster
Price: $20.89

Customer Review:
This is one of the greatest books written on the Lewis and Clark expedition. It has every element of a great novel let alone the historic, factual, epic it is. There are passages that can make one weep as well as those which terrify. Some day, hopefully soon, a movie-maker will turn this book into... more info

8.A Walk in the WoodsA Walk in the Woods
from Broadway

Customer Review:
Having fell in love with the audio version of Bryson's The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid, I decided to give A Walk in the Woods a try. This audio is also read by the author.
