Customer Review: The Deathly Hallows brings to a close perhaps the most beloved book series of all time. Harry Potter has become a cultural phenomenon the likes of which we have never seen before. To say expectations were high is an understatement of the highest order. The book starts in uncharted territory -... more info
Customer Review: I liked a lot of things about this book but it has created some bad feelings toward Sookie for me. Up to this point, I've mostly enjoyed her character and have loved the books. But I won't abandon the series. I'm just hoping for some character improvement for Sookie with Book 9.
Customer Review: If you like card board characters, tired old plot, bad writing, this book is for you. Kids, please, there are so many better books out there. And we wonder why the aliens don't want to meet us.
Customer Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince follows 16-year-old Harry Potter through his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The book is darker than any of the prequels. The book begins on a serious note. The new Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour warns the muggle Prime... more info
Customer Review: A young man thinks his biggest problems in life are his ADHD and dyslexia, maybe a bully or two, but then he discovers that he's half god. This very clever book (written primarily for middle school to early highschool students, but rewarding and enjoyable for adults, too) imagines that the... more info
Customer Review: "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" takes Harry back to school for his fifth year. This is the longest and most complicated book so far. I think that it is excellent and comes close to being a super book. However, J.K. Rowling did run into some problems. The major problem is how one fits a... more info
Customer Review: Well, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is longer than the first two HP books, but not better. I suppose that we have lost a bit of our wonder at Harry's world, but this book seems to be a slight let down from the high levels we enjoyed in the first two books. Nevertheless, we have a totally... more info

Then, a flying ford filled with Weasleys shows up and Harry is off to visit with the Weasleys utill school starts. The... more info
Customer Review: In my opinion the best Harry Potter novel. Maybe not the best movie but as far as book go the best. The imagination from JK Rowling was far better, Harry starts to grwo up. Prof Snipe is scary in this book.
Customer Review: Somewhere in the first chapter (or maybe the second, if you are convinced that the first chapter is a foreword), it dawns on you: this is not normal. The main character is not dynamic. There is no real, driving conflict. There is no escalation, nor any other conventional literary mechanism used to... more info
