Customer Review: I was looking for something to put on a new hybrid bike I had purchased and this carrier worked well. Since it is winter where I live have not been out much on the bike but it was easy to install and seems quite functional. I would recommend it as a low cost and functional addition to any bike used... more info
Customer Review: Not much to say, but it does what it is supposed to. Once you mount it into a stud it may not look strong, but I don't think it will fail. I added some small washers to the hardware just for perhaps some added support. It holds my heavy downhill bike with no problem, and it holds it high on my... more info
Customer Review: Do your research first. This rack was NOT designed for most of today's newer bikes. This rack was designed for the "Old School" bikes with 27" wheels, such as a Schwinn Varsity or World Sport. I installed mine on a Fuji Sagres 12 speed made roughly in the early to mid 80's. Instructions? Who needs... more info
Customer Review: Item works well for our childrens' bikes. However, we have to aid one with a bungee cord because the spokes on one of the bikes does not allow the tire to sit completely within the grasp of the hanger. The other two bikes don't have metal spokes, so there is no problem. You will leave tire marks on... more info
Customer Review: KIND OF HARD TO TELL WHICH END IS UP UNLESS COVER PLATE IS ON. AND THEN YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE COVER PLATE OFF TO SCREW IT TO THE WALL. IT WORKS FINE. I DID HAVE TO TURN IT OVER AFTER FINDING THE BOX IT CAME IN AND NOTICING IT WAS UPSIDE DOWN. NOW GETTING MY GRANDSON TO USE IT. THAT'S ANOTHER MATTER!
Customer Review: This rack won't fit on my Trek 7.2 FX. The little arms on the front are too close together to fit on the bike. I managed (with serious force) to contort them on, but one of the bolts fell off after about a month. I'd recommend getting a decent rack from a real company that's able to put actual... more info
Customer Review: Ummm.
This is the 3rd Topeak Beam Rack that I have owned. The other 2 have broken at the weld joints. The first two probably lasted a total of 3 years and about 6000 miles. You may ask, why do they break and why do I keep buying? Well, I think that they break because while I use this rack on... more info
Customer Review: Everything fits and works great the only thing I would change on these is the middle supports are made of plastic. I have not had any problems with them as of yet and have packed in 20lbs worth of texts books in the pannier bags though I would feel more confident if these were aluminum or steel.
Customer Review: The 3-position height adjustment for the rear wheel dropout worked. The 2 brackets to attach to the seat stay bracket has 4 positions for width and height. The screws matched the pre-threaded holes on the rear wheel dropout and on the seat stay bracket. I needed all the adjustments. My old reflector... more info
Customer Review: Very good design to hold a bike vertical and saves alot of floor space. You will need to install the rail prety high(probably over 6'), so shorter people would have trouble getting the bike in and out of the hook. Home Depot does have this hook for cheaper.
