Customer Review: I have been trying to implement a simple to moderately complex PHP/mysql/website for some time and have searched all over the 'net' looking for simple practical ways to implement such a web site with PHP and mysql. I have purchased several books, and have tried demo versions of software that 'build'... more info
Customer Review: After reading this book cover to cover, I was able to put together my first database and understand alot more of Access. I have had a difficult time grasping this software and have read 3 other books before this one. The Missing Manual was filled with great information and was easy to read.
Customer Review: It was a very helpful book. I think it is a great book even if you are not applying for the certificate. It helped me in my work, certificate, and personal SQL Server 2005 knowledge. I would recommend this book for every one who is looking for a SQL Server 2005 book.
Customer Review: If you read the first edition and were underwhelmed, this is an entirely different book. This second edition is entirely rewritten, more than twice as long, and covers a wide array of topics in depth, giving detailed advice and analysis in every chapter. The authors' advice on Innodb tuning, query... more info
Customer Review: I own several PHP/Mysql reference books, and this one is the most comprehensive of all of them. I wouldn't necessarily say this book is for beginners, but anyone that's a novice to professional would... more info

But then once I got going, it was un-put-downable. I have another... more info
Customer Review: The online content is finally up, but that's still the stupid part about it. It comes with a sleave in the back to fit a CD, they should've just waited and released the content with the book. It's very annoying to have to log in and find this crap all the time. Another thing, as a student, I... more info
Customer Review: Love this book. Written mostly in plain English (for those of us who are not techies).. it also provides sections were it deciphers technical acronyms and concepts.
