Customer Review: The day I received this book, I immediately began to use it. I had wanted to make a hedge of some beautiful crape mytrle by our back door. The book gave detailed instructions and pictures. The mytrle has already started to leaf into a bush after only a few weeks. I know they will be perfect and I... more info
Customer Review: I'm totally impressed. Let me first admit that I'm lazy when it comes to lawn care. This summer, my lawn finally got to the point where I was embarassed about it. Unfortunately, I thought, it was already early August and there was no way I would have a good looking yard this year. Fortunately, a... more info
Customer Review: So we got this book for my father-in-law because this year he finally purchased the John Deer of his dreams. As you see, it went along nicely. Mellor stars the book by teaching you how to listen to your lawn - and figure out what it needs. He goes into detail about the different kinds of grass available,... more info
Customer Review: The book is quite solid, well written & illustrated. No qualms there. However, Amazon sells both the 1st & 2nd edition for the same price -- but makes no mention of there being a 2nd edition here. This is the FIRST edition, get the second instead. Do a search for "Scotts Lawn".more info
Customer Review: I planned to re-do my sprinkler system, and was looking for tips on irrigation. There is a lot for commercial use here, which I didn't need.
All in all, I did not find the book useful, so hired a guy to do the work.
Customer Review: This book has a lot of good information and nice pictures. I was however expecting more actual plans and more of a variety. Most of the locations are in Canada or cold parts of the U.S. (with some exceptions in Texas) and the theme of the front yards were mostly a cottage garden look or something... more info
