 Great topic, this would have been an excellent 20-30 page paper. It turned instead into a disappointing and wordy 275-page book.  Books bring us enjoyment, but they should also teach us as well. Corduroy does just that. A little bear who is not perfect (having lost his button) is accepted and loved by a little girl just because.....just because. Unconditional love, how can that be more endearing?
